Laboratory

The laboratory at TLM Naini is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to conduct a wide range of serological, haematological, and biochemical tests. On a daily basis, the laboratory processes more than 25-30 skin smears for leprosy patients. The installation of the fully automatic Biochemistry Analyzer EM200 has significantly increased the laboratory’s testing capacity and improved the quality of performance, allowing for more than 50-60 tests to be conducted per day. Additionally, the laboratory is equipped with a three-part cell counter and four advanced microscopes.

In addition to the regular laboratory tests, the hospital actively participates in the Revised National Tuberculosis Program (RNTCP). This involves conducting regular outpatient department (OPD) sputum AFB tests and receiving samples from the Naini Central Jail. Furthermore, the laboratory plays a role in training trainee students from various colleges, as well as providing training to government laboratory technicians. The laboratory is fully equipped to handle the diverse testing requirements and contribute to the healthcare services provided by the hospital.
