Hospital across India

The Leprosy Mission operates 16 hospitals across India, which have been recognized by the Government of India as tertiary leprosy referral hospitals. These hospitals specialize in providing comprehensive services for leprosy patients. They offer essential treatments such as multidrug therapy, management of lepra reactions and neuritis, ulcer care, and specialized care for insensitivity in the hands and feet. Additionally, they provide services for disability assessment and management, deformity correction, reconstructive surgery, occupational and physiotherapy, aids and appliances like splints, orthosis, and prostheses, counseling, prevention of further disability, treatment for eye problems, and general healthcare.

Furthermore, the Leprosy Mission extends its services to other disadvantaged groups within the local community. This creates an opportunity for community members to interact with individuals affected by leprosy, promoting understanding and helping to reduce stigma.
